[Akihiko's been adjusting well enough to Luceti following the crash back to reality that Luceti was a different world that was not the TV world he was supposed to have appeared in. He's back to a "civilized" level of hygiene and no longer running around in survival pants and a cape -- no, now he's back to sweatpants and T-shirts for his jogs and training. He can be found jogging on the village roads and into the forest, which he's now fairly familiar with after spending so much time out there.

Later in the day, after he's finished with his training for the day, he opens up his journal. Ever since that "experiment," he's been wondering something. But before he asks, he should probably introduce himself...]

Hey. I'm Akihiko Sanada. I arrived here in the recent ... cycle. I guess that's what you call it. I've heard that I might have met some people here before, so I thought I'd warn you that I don't remember ever being in Luceti.

Anyway, I've got a question. How do you decide when to celebrate or acknowledge your birthdays here? There can be a lot of different kinds of calendars, even in the same world, so... I'm curious how other people handle it.

Also, if anyone knows how I can get my hands on a speed bag, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

[Minato happens to be stepping out of his house as Akihiko jogs by that morning, probably on the later end of his training regime.

He waves him over. Hopefully Akihiko will notice him too, because he'snot shouting.]

[Surprisingly enough, Akihiko's not the only one who enjoys going out to train and run in the early mornings.

Once he goes some way into the forest, it won't be hard for him to spot a large, white blur leaping from tree to tree.

It ain't a bear, though. Sorry, bro.]

As long as they have a regular Earth calendar year back home too, people usually celebrate it on the same day here. [ she shrugs to herself. ] Despite it not often really being a year since their last birthday because of the times back home and here not matching up.

So I guess they're just in it for the opportunity to have a party.

I've heard some people come from worlds where the calender is rather similar, so they tend to use the same day rather than account for the months missed back home.

Though in my case, the calender back home is completely different than it is here. I just chose a day that falls around the same time of year and follow Luceti's calender for my age.

[Well it seems Ion is already discussing the workings of the Auldrant calendar, though given Tear does it a little differently she may as well say something about it.]

Because the calendar here is different from the one of my world, if I choose to acknowledge my birthday it could require counting exact days.

My birthday passed days after arriving here. I saw no reason to celebrate.

[She had no one to celebrate it with. She finally has friends back home, and September 13th rolled around...but she was alone.]
