[Akihiko's been adjusting well enough to Luceti following the crash back to reality that Luceti was a different world that was not the TV world he was supposed to have appeared in. He's back to a "civilized" level of hygiene and no longer running around in survival pants and a cape -- no, now he's back to sweatpants and T-shirts for his jogs and training. He can be found jogging on the village roads and into the forest, which he's now fairly familiar with after spending so much time out there.

Later in the day, after he's finished with his training for the day, he opens up his journal. Ever since that "experiment," he's been wondering something. But before he asks, he should probably introduce himself...]

Hey. I'm Akihiko Sanada. I arrived here in the recent ... cycle. I guess that's what you call it. I've heard that I might have met some people here before, so I thought I'd warn you that I don't remember ever being in Luceti.

Anyway, I've got a question. How do you decide when to celebrate or acknowledge your birthdays here? There can be a lot of different kinds of calendars, even in the same world, so... I'm curious how other people handle it.

Also, if anyone knows how I can get my hands on a speed bag, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

My birthday passed days after arriving here. I saw no reason to celebrate.

[She had no one to celebrate it with. She finally has friends back home, and September 13th rolled around...but she was alone.]

[Oh hey. He remembers that voice, that physique.] There usually isn't a reason, especially if you're on the road or just settling into a place. I wasn't even aware about a calendar for the first ... week or two. [Or maybe even three.]

My own thoughts were similar...though I found the calendar much sooner, it seems. [Enough talk about birthdays, though.]

If you check the stores, you may find a speed bag. I have already installed one in my spare room.

[Speed bag. That's all it takes for him to drop the other topic.]

The stores... I'd only seen one store that seemed to have anything other than clothes and food. Is there anywhere else I might be missing? [Of course, he's still getting used to not being able to find everything he wants. The item store seemed kinda like a pawn shop where you took your chances finding things.]

No, you are correct. That is the store you should look in. I found it after several days of searching.

[She waits for a moment.] If you would like to use it, you may have mine. I have found other exercise equipment since, and I currently have no use for it, Sanada-san.

[Okay, now he's impressed and pleasantly surprised with his recent acquaintance.] Really? If you're sure you won't need it, Oogami, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Where can I pick it up?

[She did what anyone would do; she made herself at home with whatever she could find.] It is no trouble at all; it would be an honor to give it to someone as dedicated as yourself. Would it trouble you to pick it up from my apartment? I reside in community building five.

[He smiles at Sakura's comment -- and at the prospect of getting his hands on a speed bag. It's been awhile since he has had access to normal gym equipment, so he is looking forward to being able to compare how he used to work with his old equipment with anything he could find in Luceti.]

Community building five. [He's silent for a moment as he looks at the village map; he still needed the reference for building numbers.] Across the river, right? I can be over there in half an hour.

That is fine with me. I am the only occupant on the third floor, in room thirteen. I will see you soon.

Third floor, room thirteen. Got it. [He's definitely looking forward to getting over there, if the way he shuts the journal immediately is any sign of his enthusiasm.]

[And Sakura will be ready and waiting. It doesn't take her long to move the speed bag closer to the door, and she spends the rest of the waiting time doing some cleaning. Collecting various pieces of exercise equipment is hard work...she needs to actually make her room hospitable if someone else were to ever come in.]

[Akihiko's still in a good mood by the time he arrives at the building and makes his way up to the third floor. He's even wondering if he should go for another jog with the speed bag equipment, if simply because it'd be something different.

And so he knocks on Sakura's door, glancing around the community building walls in the mean time. Pretty nice place; he wonders if the building residents pitch in to keep the public hallways clean.]

In Animal Crossing, my neighbor gave me a Speed Bag as my first piece of furniture...
